Had a great experience with family (4 yo kid) at Mercure Rayong. We stayed in a villa, very quiet, clean. The swimming pool is very chill, with palm trees around and the sea right at your feet. Warm Welcome from the Team and the GM who ensured that our experience was optimal. Location is nice, next to the beach, can do a nice walk and visiting food market around, and finish the day watching the sunset on the restaurant terrasse. It's more like a boutique hotel like M Gallery than Mercure. So great value for money.

The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-designed, The location is great - the beach is safe, great for swimming, quite private but within walking distance to the public beach (though at high tide there’s not a lot of beach left). There are many restaurants you can walk to, but we didn’t - food & drinks at the hotel are really delicious, the atmosphere really nice and relaxing, the staff & service are top-tier. Hotel is also dog-friendly, which is a bonus for dog lovers who don’t have their own dog, like me. 10/10 would stay here again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. A pretty location. Some stunning views - especially sunset. For a change there are some excellent seafood restaurants within 5 minutes. Be aware that there is no ATM nearby, so come with cash. The restaurant and bar might benefit from a few more staff as the waiting time was a little long.

Very nice resort, but the first room they put us in stank of cigarette smoke. When we asked to change rooms, they said they were full. I stood my ground and they somehow found another room for us, and it was beautiful. Great pool area!

The hotel is at the good location with beautiful surroundings, I was very impressed when I was on my way to the reception for checking in, passing lovely swimming pool and the beachfront. The staff were very polite and helpful. The disappointment come when I saw our room - executive room with twin beds is quite small with the permanent look of dirty wooden floors and a very weird and inconvenient of the basin that was positioned next to the bed and outside the bathroom!! We made a friendly complaint to the front desk and asked to change the room, apparently they told us the floor is clean but just old wooden floors so don’t worry about it …. Well, I do think you could replace it if they were too old… We were told there was another room with basin inside the bathroom available if we wanted to move but we have to pay 8000 baht ( £200) extra! For 5000 Baht up (£120 +) per night in Rayong province, this is unacceptable with the conditions of the room! What’s shame as anything else was very good. We won’t come back though
